Svenska Dagbladet is a quality daily national newspaper in Sweden, published in several channels. The first issue of Svenska Dagbladet (SvD) was published on December 18th 1884.

The newspaper provides coverage of national and international news as well as local reporting from the greater Stockholm region. The total number of readers across channels is over 2 million a week.

Svenska Dagbladet's core areas are news, business, culture and opinion. The stated position of the editorial page is independently conservative.

SvD also publishes a special magazine for young readers – SvD Junior with a steadily rising circulation.

SvD has not only been awarded the best Swedish newspaper several times, but also the best designed newspaper in Sweden, Europe – and in the world. In addition the paper has frequently received the Swedish Pulitzer prize and the Golden Spade for best investigative journalism.

2016 SvD was awarded the Best In Show title in The International News Media Association INMA´s competition Global Media Awards.
