The winners of Schibsted Sales Awards

Aftenpostens Elisabeth Kretzmähr won “Sales person of the Year“ at Schibsted Sales Awards Friday. InfoJobs Spain impressed and won “Performance of the Year“ despite extremely tough markets.

Kretzmähr and colleagues from Aftenposten, Aftonbladet, FINN.no and Infojobs Spain received their prizes in five categories in front of almost 700 jubilant participants in Karlstad on Friday 8 February.

– I congratulate all the winners on their impressive achievements in 2012. Schibsted Media Group depends on the job that our sales people carry out every day. I am proud of your high level of professionalism and your eagerness to constantly improve. Thanks to all of you for your great sales efforts carried out in the past year, said Rolv Erik Ryssdal, CEO Schibsted Media Group.

Prize of Honor

This year the special “Prize of Honor” was also awarded, to Gunnar Strömblad, who will step down from his position as EVP Sales this spring. Strömblad received the prize for his long and outstanding efforts to develop Schibsted Media Group’s sales culture, establishing successful concepts and events such as Schibsted Way of Sales, Schibsted Sales Academy and Schibsted Sales Awards.

Best Case: VG Mobil

New of the year was the award for Best Case at the breakout sessions at Schibsted Sales Fair. The winner was VG Mobil, with the case ‘Creating the future mobile ad market’. Aftonbladet, with the case ‘The next step in digital creativity’ and Blocket.se with the case ‘Creating the future mobile ad market’ were the other two final nominees for this prize.

Sales Person of the Year: Elisabeth Kretzmähr, Aftenposten (Norway)

The jury’s motivation:
This year’s Sales Person of the Year delivers excellent results in terms of both gross sales and earnings, and meets all criteria of a true “Challenger”. This person has done much to shape the team’s sales culture, whilst assuming responsibility for the customers’ own sales skills.

This year’s Sales Person of the Year is a role model for all sales people in the Schibsted Media Group.

Sales Manager of the Year: Steinar Tyssedal, FINN.no (Norway)

The jury’s motivation:
This year’s Sales Manager of the Year is a person who always supports his colleagues and who is an endless source of inspiration. With creativity and dedication, he gets results whilst ensuring the development of individuals and the team as a whole. This year’s Sales Manager of the Year is an unusually gifted manager, and is a role model both within and outside the Schibsted Media Group.

Sales Department of the Year: Oslo Lokal, Aftenposten (Norway)

The jury’s motivation:
This year’s Sales Department of the Year never gives up! On the toughest of markets, and in a constantly changing environment, this team keeps on delivering excellent results. This year’s winner has an outstanding performance culture and combines impressive results with job satisfaction.

Sales Organization of the Year: Aftonbladet (Sweden)

The jury’s motivation:
This year’s Sales Organization of the Year is one of the largest in its market. Year after year it breaks sales records and works at the frontier on all the new platforms. This year’s Sales Organization of the Year is creative, innovative and a very worthy winner.

Performance of the Year: Infojobs Spain

The jury’s motivation:
The winners of this year’s Performance award seem to have achieved the impossible. Despite competing in one of the toughest markets in Europe, with high unemployment, they have come out on top – as well as being voted the best workplace in its country. We are highly impressed by this year’s winners!
