The Future Report is here!

In Schibsted’s Future Report you can read articles on key trends written by our strategy unit together with colleagues from across the group, you can learn more about our users’ needs, and you can discover some of our most successful companies.

Today, Schibsted is an international online group with operations in 29 countries and an audience of close to 200 million people. As such, we are heavily influenced both by global technological developments and by our competitors.

“We hope you will find it both inspirational and useful. And that you get to know a little bit more about Schibsted’s great people and companies”, says Lena K Samuelsson, Executive Vice President Communications & CSR.

“Major changes are taking place both in our industry and in the world around us. In the Future Report, we share some of the key trends that are influencing us and showcase some of the exciting things going on in Schibsted Media Group. Our Future Report is an attempt to create a coherent picture of the challenges and possibilities that are caused by the digital transformation and that influence our strategic decisions,” says CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal.

All of Schibsted’s areas are represented in the Future Report; from company facts to global trends in mobile development; from entrepreneurship to what is actually bought and sold via our marketplaces; as well as trends in journalism.

“I am very proud of the fact that we have made our own Future Report. All the texts are written by people in the Group, and most of the photos are of Schibsted employees around the world. Everything comes from within, which is a great strength to us,” Ryssdal says.

Which part did you enjoy the most?

“I really like the duality of the report: How we combine worldwide trends with deep insight from our own experts. In doing that, I think we manage to emphasize both the relevance and ‘useiness’ of the report. I really enjoyed reading the informative articles from our own columnists, and would like to thank them all for their contributions,” says Ryssdal.
