Camilla Jarlsby leaving Schibsted

Camilla Jarlsby, EVP Organizational Development, will be leaving Schibsted to take up a new appointment as Head of Culture in Hadeland.

Camille Jarlsby has been Executive Vice President for Organizational Development Schibsted Media Group since September 2014. Prior to that she was the Group’s Head of Legal Affairs and has been a member of the Group Management Team since 2009. Jarlsby has worked in Schibsted since 1994.

“I think it’s a pity that Camilla Jarlsby is leaving Schibsted, but I respect her decision, which I think is both a brave and exciting one. At the same time I would like to thank her for everything she has done for Schibsted during her many years in various roles. I wish her all the best of luck in the future,” says CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal.

“I feel that the time has come for a change now that we are moving to the countryside at Hadeland and realizing our more private life project, building a farm in the countryside. And I have been so fortunate to be starting a very exciting job in the local community at Hadeland, as the Head of Culture for Gran and Lunner. At the same time, it is of course strange and sad to leave Schibsted as the international, innovative and forward-leaning group it is – and not least the incredibly talented, knowledgeable and wonderful people I have come to know during a long career in Schibsted,” says Camilla Jarlsby.

The actual date for when Jarlsby will formally leave the Group has not yet been finalized, but it will happen in the second half of 2015. Schibsted will immediately initiate the recruitment process to find a new head of organizational development for Schibsted Media Group.
