OSLO, NORWAY and LONDON, ENGLAND – September 21, 2016 – Schibsted Media Group, an innovative leader in digital media and marketplaces, today announced that the teams behind Schibsted’s new IP-based Geo-targeted ads product won the 2016 Schibsted Innovation Award. Schibsted honors the best product and tech innovation from across the company with its annual Innovation Award. This year 28 projects applied, with three chosen as finalists.
The IP-based Geo Targeting ad platform was a joint effort between both the Schibsted Product and Tech organization, based in London, and the Schibsted Norway advertising unit, based in Oslo, that helped bring the product innovation to market.

Moreover, these two teams have built and delivered to market a tool that is of a very high quality compared to other commercial solutions available today.”
Commercial geo-targeting solutions exist, but the new product launched by Schibsted greatly improves accuracy – up to 48% more accurate when compared to leading solutions. This leap in performance has already helped Schibsted secure and grow advertising revenue while improving the advertising experience significantly for consumers.
